PUBLIC RELATIONS/MARKETING COMMITTEE NOTES WINTER, 2008
The PRMC had an open house luncheon on October 23rd and invited interested members to join us and check out our committee and what we do. We had a great turnout and as a result, recruited seven new members.
We worked along with the Education Conference Committee to obtain vendors for the education conference as well as vendor ads in the Education Conference brochure. The word around town is that this year’s Education Conference was one of the best from both attendees and vendors point of view.
We worked very hard putting together our 2009 Marketing Package which hit the streets around the first of December. We are still continuing our efforts to update our website and have recently contacted a web designer who will attend our January, 2009 meeting to discuss the update. Also in January, we will begin working on the Special Achievement/Special Recognition Awards to be presented at the March luncheon.
As a reminder, this year we are offering vendors an opportunity to sponsor paralegals who work at firms that do not pay for their membership to PAP. If you work at a firm that does not pay for your membership to PAP, please submit your name and firm information via e-mail to the PAP office (philaparalegals@verizon.net) or at our bi-monthly luncheons. When we have a vendor that has paid for this opportunity, we will randomly select names. The sponsored paralegal will be required to join a committee and participate for the year.
I encourage all members to attend one of PRMC’s meetings in 2009. We are a fun committee and are always working and planning on ways to keep PAP in the forefront as one of the strongest and largest paralegal associations in Pennsylvania.
Our meetings for 2009 are scheduled for January 22nd, February 26th,March 26th, April 23rd, May 28th, June 25th, July 23rd, August 27th, September 24th, October 22nd, November 19th and December 17th. Our January 22nd meeting will be held at the Comcast Center. For further information, please contact Renee Mazzeo at Rmazzeo@kentmcbride.com or by telephone at 215-568-1800.
